Senior SAS Programmer
Location: Cary, NC and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S

Perform statistical analysis on clinical data to provide meaningful insights and reports in the form of tables, listings and graphs. Generate new programs or modifying the existing programs to generate CDISC compliant datasets. Identify and collate information from various databases to facilitate in analysis and evaluation of clinical data to derive actionable endpoints. Validate the datasets and reports before sending them for statistical review. Identify data issues and effectively communicating these issues with statisticians and facilitate in their resolution. Perform data clean-up along with edit checks on clinical study drug data. Perform GAP analysis by thoroughly understanding the study protocol and clinical study design to generate map reports, annotate CRFs and migrate raw clinical data to Standard Data Tabulation Model (SDTM) and Analysis Data Model (ADaM). Generate Define.XML and reviewers guide. Work with support programming team to program Analysis datasets, listings, tables and graphs according to specifications. Implement QA and QC validation in accordance with departmental SOPs for deliverables including:  Formal study reports, Data Review committee reports, Publications and meeting presentations, Ad-hoc requests. Direct the work of statistical programming services across sites to achieve quality, timely and cost-effective study deliverable.

 

Master’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Digital Science, or closely related field of study, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related SAS programming position. Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following: Statistical programming in

SAS within the CRO, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Healthcare industry; experience with the clinical drug development process; SAS/BASE; SAS/MACRO; SAS/STAT; SAS/ACCESS; and SAS/SQL. 

In the alternate, employer would accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Digital Science, or closely related field of study, plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related SAS programming position. Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following: Statistical programming in SAS within the CRO, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Healthcare industry; experience with the clinical drug development process; SAS/BASE; SAS/MACRO; SAS/STAT; SAS/ACCESS; and SAS/SQL.
